NEMUI
Small 4-layers Mokuhanga print. I made this print at the end of my residency in Japan, where, unfortunately, I developed an ugly elbow injury, which at the end was unbearable. I didn’t want to stop on my last few days, so the print reflects my physicality. I was tired and sleepy, but I continued and challenged myself with cutting thin lines and applying ‘bokashi’ and ‘gomzauri’ effects.
16 cm by 19 cm approx., 4 are printed on cream washi paper and 3 on white washi paper. They are all slightly different what makes them unique.
